Vatel Group meets in Tunis

Each year, directors of Vatel schools meet for their International Vatel Convention in one of the Group’s schools.

The first Vatel campus outside of France, opened in 2002, Vatel Tunis and its students organized the 12th International Vatel Convention in May 2018, with participants from 28 different countries

During the Convention, men and women who have been building Vatel Group for nearly 40 years met to discuss the broad guidelines to be included in Vatel’s curriculum. Their goal? Giving future professionals all the keys to thrive in this industry which now represents one job out of ten in the world and which is facing challenges such as digital technology, international customer loyalty, as well as tourism in emerging countries.

Reflections on the curriculum, sharing experiences, meeting other school directors also were on the agenda in this annual get-together, which was also the opportunity to extend a warm welcome to four new schools: Vatel Suzhou (China), Vatel Braga (Portugal), Vatel San Luis Potosi (Mexico) and Vatel Nantes (France).

Based on a unique international model, now with 41 schools throughout the world and its network of 33,000 alumni, Vatel Group is in direct contact with transitions in the international hotel and tourism industries. All of this will be discussed in the upcoming Conventions: the next one is already scheduled for June 2019, for a Convention organized this time by Vatel Madrid and its students.
