Created by and for Vatel, The Vatel International Business Game is a reality simulation of international hotel management, which is an integral part of the M5 curriculum.

It is an annual contest, conducted in English, for the M5 students of all the Vatel schools comprising groups of 10-15 students.

Divided into "management teams", the students must manage three companies belonging to the same group:

• Vatel Holding which is not only the commercial centre but also the financial holding of the group;
• Vatel City which is an urban 4 star hotel with 300 rooms in the Parisian region ;
• Vatel Resort which is a 5 star seaside complex with 150 rooms located in the Indian Ocean.

The game covers 2 social exercises divided over 4 periods of activity. The "Managers" have to take a series of commercial, financial, technical and labour decisions each semester (1 semester lasts 1 month in the game).

Their objective: To take the most pertinent and professional decisions so that, at the end of the game, theirs is the best performing professional group, winning the title of Vatel Dream Team of the year.
