Vatel celebrates 30 years of experience,
a steady and sustained growth.

Between 1981 and 1994: Successfully establishing itself in France.

• 1981: The first Vatel School opens in Paris. 

• 1984: Convinced that an international education in Hospitality and Tourism is necessary, Alain Sebban thinks it prudent to consolidate the group in France, and opens a second school in Lyon.

• 1987: The “Ideal Vatel School” is conceived over 14000m² in Nîmes, which then opened its doors in 1989.

• 1994: The opening of Vatel Bordeaux, the first franchise school, confirms that Vatel’s expertise, its concept and methods of education, and its tutoring are transferable.

Since 1994: The International Development of the Group

The group’s stability in France allowed for the exporting of this image of education, and to develop openings across the globe.

• 2002: Vatel opens in Mexico City, Bangkok and Tunis.

• 2005: In Buenos Aires and Moscow.

• 2006: In Marrakech.

• 2007: In Quebec and in Manila. Vatel Mexico opened sites in Tlalnepantla, Chiapas and Toluca.

• 2008: In Los Angeles and in Salta, northern Argentina.

• 2009: In Mauritius, in the United Arab Emirates, in Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Madrid and Brussels.

• 2010: In Martigny, Switzerland. Vatel signs the contract to open Vatel Yerevan in the Republic of Armenia.

Each new school benefits from the experience of its precedents.
