Launch of the Vatel-Mexico School at the French Embassy Residence in Mexico.

On March 24, 2014, the Residence of the French Embassy in Mexico organized a reception to announce the launch of the Vatel Mexico Hotel and Tourism Management School that will open for its first class in the Mexican Alliance Francaise facilities, in its Polanco Center in September, 2014.

This Vatel event was headed by the French Ambassador in Mexico, Mrs. Elisabeth Beton Delegue, Mr. Enrique Cervantes, the President of the Mexican Alliance Francaise and Mr. Said Boukili, the Vatel Mexico School Director.

There were also several Ambassadors of countries were Vatel Group is located, many Mexican Hotel Industry Managers, high school principals in the country's largest and most famous high schools, as well as many stakeholders in the Mexican tourism sector.

The French Ambassador in Mexico insisted on the importance of the Vatel-Mexico project, affirming that two key countries for tourism, France and Mexico, must give priority to a French-Mexican cooperation which targets training students: "In a context where student mobility and cooperation in higher technical education is one of the main paths leading to French and Mexican university cooperation, with 2,600 Mexican students who go to France and about 1,500 French students who study in Mexico, the number one destination for foreign students, the Vatel School educational model corresponds exactly to what we're looking for: higher education in the hotel management industry with 50% of practical application courses taking part in hotels, both in Mexico and in France."

Mr. Said Boukili thanked Mr. Enrique Cervantes, the President of the Mexican Alliance Francaise, Mr. Philippe Palade, the General Manager, and the entire Mexican Alliance Francaise team for this partnership and their support given to the Vatel Mexico School.

The Vatel Group, created thirty years ago in France, has progressively showed itself to a benchmark in training future international hotel and tourism industry senior managers: today there are 25 Vatel Schools on four different continents which all have the same curriculum for 7,000 students, with 25,000 alumni trained since 1981, and who work all over the world.

Theoretical courses will be given in the Polanco facility of the Mexican Alliance Francaise, giving Vatel School students access to classrooms, a language laboratory, an amphitheater, an IT room and a library. Practical application training will be held in large hotels near the Alliance Francaise, in partnerships with hotels and tourism industries taking part in this project.
